Yearly, Carthage College invites the community to celebrate the joy of the holiday season at the annual Carthage Christmas Festival, three performances of readings and music in the A. F. Siebert Chapel. These annual concerts are the College's Christmas gift to the community. Tickets to the Christmas Festival have been free since the festival began more than 20 years ago.

UA Students Participate in Fall 2017 Cooperative Education
Close to 300 University of Alabama students are receiving a hands-on educational experience at more than 60 companies and organizations through UA's Cooperative Education Program during fall 2017. In the Cooperative Education Program, students alternate periods of full-time study with periods of full-time employment. This program offers work related to the academic major or career interests of each student. The experience enhances the students' employment prospects after graduation. While in school, students carry regular course schedules. While on co-op, they work with professionals in their fields who supervise their training and work. At work, co-op students earn competitive salaries and may receive benefit packages in addition to valuable on-the-job experience. Students maintain their full-time student status while at work and have priority registration status each semester through graduation.

Belmont Draws 8,080 Students for Fall 2017, Largest Enrollment Yet
Belmont's fall 2017 semester kicked off with a record-breaking enrollment number for the 17th consecutive year as the University welcomed 8,080 students to the first day of classes, nearly triple the enrollment in 2000. As part of its Vision 2020 strategic plan, Belmont aims to hit 8,888 students by the Fall 2020 semester, providing more students than ever the opportunity to embrace the Belmont mission to "engage and transform the world."

CCIW Academic All-Conference Recipient
Each member school in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin selects student-athletes from each of the three sport seasons (fall, winter, spring) to be honored as Academic All-Conference members. To be eligible, an individual must have an overall grade point average of 3.30 or above and must have lettered in their respective sport for that season. These are the spring and winter sport recipients.

Agriculture Business Club receives top prize at Agricultural & Applied Economics Association meeting
Members of the Iowa State University Agricultural Business Club traveled to the Agricultural & Applied Economics Association (AAEA) meeting where the club was named Outstanding Club. This is the 13th time in 15 years that the club has received the organization's top awards. Dr. Georgeanne Artz attended the meeting with students and serves as adviser of the club.
